Intro Fluff:

Mighty Mike is back in action and just released a brand new, completely awesome ROM for the Sprint Diamond called Mighty ROM 4, or REBORN. If you’re as excited as I am to try this new ROM, but aren’t quite sure how, just follow the instructions below and you’ll be on Mighty’s brand new ROM in no time.

How To Do It:

If you have a brand new Sprint Diamond, you will certainly need to unlock your Diamond. This is a simple process. Just follow the steps shown on the link below. You will probably want to backup your phone contacts and save any files you have on your phone before going any further. Unlocking and flashing your phone will erase all contacts and information that is on your device (minus the internal storage). Internal storage is safe and will survive flashing.

1. Unlock your Sprint Diamond. (You only need to do this once for the life of your phone, unless you relock. You will not need to do this every time you want to flash to a new ROM.)

2. Download and unzip Mighty’s New REBORN ROM. – Download link

3. Flash the ROM:

(Text below taken, with permission from EliteEternity.Com.)

- Now that your Sprint phone is unlocked (using the instructions provided above), go to this URL: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=38999 and download the Mighty ROM by clicking the download link from either Server 1, or Server 2.

- The download may take some time, but when you have finished downloading the file, you will need to extract (unzip) the contents.

- Now connect your phone to your computer again and make an ActiveSync connection. Open the “Custom_RUU.exe” file inside of the “mightyrom_” folder by double-clicking.

- This will bring up instructions similar to when you unlocked your phone. Follow the instructions and wait until it’s done flashing.

- Do the usual windows mobile setup by taping the screen to align it and what not when prompted. The first time you start the phone after a flash it will go super-slow. Be patient.

- If your phone won’t flash for some reason, you probably didn’t bother to unlock it. Go back to the first step. If you did do that and your phone is jacked up, don’t blame me. You better hope that it breaks suddenly so you have an excuse to use your insurance – not advocating insurance fraud, jus’ sayin.’ Once you unlock your phone, it is void of Sprint’s software insurance warranty, so don’t call them crying about how you bricked your phone.

4. Restore your backed up contacts.

Other Fluff:

I don’t have any feedback on this new ROM yet, I just started flashing. I will update this post after I have played around on it for a while. I’m sure hoping that it is better than the ROM that I’m currently on. GrooveRom4 Just isn’t doing it for me anymore.

Intro:

Flashing a ROM from the Storage Card on your phone is actually quite easy! You just need to get the .nbh file for the ROM you want to flash to. For most ROM’s you find online, they are a folder with a few files inside (Custom RUU.exe, ErrorBattery.fig etc..)

How To Do It:

1. Find the “RUU_signed.nbh” file for the ROM you desire to upgrade to. (Found in the RUU folder of the ROM)

2. Rename to “RAPHIMG.nbh” (It’s IMG, not ING)

3. Transfer to the root folder of your Storage Card.

4. Turn off Phone completely.

5. Hold down the POWER BUTTON, VOLUME DOWN, and the RESET BUTTON.

6. It should ask you to “Press power button to start update image” – Do it

7. It should have a status bar, and get to 100% in a few minutes.

8. After the Update is complete, hit the reset button or remove battery to boot.

9. It is suggested to always Hard-Reset your Touch Pro after you have flashed to a rom after full initial boot.
