Unfortunately Pandora.com has yet to release an application for all of us with Touch Pro’s and Touch Pro 2′s, but thanks to some awesome people over at XDA-Developers we now have an easy solution to install Pandora Internet Radio on our Touch Pro 2′s!

I have tested this on my Sprint Touch Pro 2 running MightyROM – Although I don’t think it will matter which ROM you’re using. The application was an easy install and I haven’t had any errors. I didn’t have to change any settings or any registry settings.

Install
1. Download and install this .cab file
2. Enjoy!

This may or may not work on other phones such as the Touch Pro 1. Let us know in the comments and we’ll be sure to update this post!

One of the greatest application on the iPhone is Shazam. The reason it is so great, is you can get the name instantly of any song you’re listening to! The only problem is that it’s not on Windows Mobile. Well some people created an alternative; MusicID for the Touch Pro, Touch Diamond, and Touch Pro 2. It works, but is slow and won’t work half of the time. I rarely used the MusicID due to how unreliable it was.

Well thankfully I recently stumbled upon Midomi! It looks great and functions even better! This is the greatest application I have yet to find for windows mobile!

Pandora is one of the greatest ways to listen to music on-the-go. You can listen to your favorite music using a web browser, a desktop widget, and using the Pandora App on the iPhone and Palm Pre. While these are great, that still leaves the majority of Windows Mobile users in the dark(although pandora does support a few old QVGA devices).

People have been successful with installing and listening to music on their Touch Pro’s, don’t get me wrong. But one of the main problems was the fact that it would rarely play a whole song. Well thanks to the mobile communities over at PPCGeeks and XDA-Developers, we have finally come up with a pandora.cab file that works!

To get Pandora working on your Touch Pro / Diamond:
1. Download the Pandora.cab (mirror)
2. If you don’t already have it, download Advanced Config Tool 3.3 (mirror)
3. Install both applications and open Advanced Config Tool
4. While in the Advanced Config Tool, navigate to Network>TCP Window and change the value to 98304
5. Save your changes, and soft-reset.
6. Download This VGA/EXE Fix (mirror)
7. Replace the orginal .exe (in \Program Files\Pandora\Pandora.exe) with the one from the VGA/EXE Fix above. (Can’t copy?)
8. Enjoy!

You should now have full songs playing in your Pandora App on your Windows Phone in BEAUTIFUL VGA!!! This is confirmed working on WM6.1

Diamond Users: Map the keyboard (input) to the long send button (settings>buttons). Then when you open Pandora, hold down send and it should bring the keyboard up. Thanks Adam!

I’ve tried tons of windows mobile browsers, and to date, Opera 9.7 Beta is the best.

I’ll spare you a full, Fluffy review, but Opera 9.7 Beta opens and loads quickly. Pages also display much faster than Internet Explorer, Skyfire, or previous versions of Opera.

I have the HTC Diamond and I’m all ears for anything that will make this phone easier to deal with. (I hate the Diamond’s Touchscreen, among other things).

Ageye.de has released a highly anticipated new version of the hugely popular G-Alarm. People have wanted a new version, because the old version was no longer working with new version builds of Windows Mobile. I personally use G-Alarm and I am in love with it. Not only does it meld with Windows Mobile, but it is extremely functional and looks beautiful! G-Alarm by Ageye is DEFINATELY a Fluffy App! I use it on my Touch Pro, and it works flawlessly

UPDATE: It appears Ageye is trying to make some money from these. They are all now Trial Versions. You will have to reinstall G-Alarm every month or so.

While Jeremy has a tutorial on how to setup Resco Explorer… I strongly feel Total Commander is a much better choice. Resco is a little bit more “noob-friendly” [probably why Jeremy likes it] — It defaults to hide file extensions. (shows shellres.192.dll without .dll)
I also was very disgruntled because EVERY time I opened Resco on my Sprint Diamond, it would default to “Large Icons,” even though every time I close the program I have it changed to “small icons” in settings.
