Pandora For HTC Touch Pro 2 Rhodium (WVGA) – Windows Mobile .cab Download

Pandora on TP2

UPDATE: As commenters have pointed out this only works with MightyROM (CDMA only) – Sorry about that. I’ll try to figure this out. Until then just use the old work around.

Unfortunately Pandora.com has yet to release an application for all of us with Touch Pro’s and Touch Pro 2’s, but thanks to some awesome people over at XDA-Developers we now have an easy solution to install Pandora Internet Radio on our Touch Pro 2’s!

I have tested this on my Sprint Touch Pro 2 running MightyROM – Although I don’t think it will matter which ROM you’re using. The application was an easy install and I haven’t had any errors. I didn’t have to change any settings or any registry settings.

Install
1. Download and install this .cab file
2. Enjoy!

This may or may not work on other phones such as the Touch Pro 1. Let us know in the comments and we’ll be sure to update this post!

Have we helped you? Donate to Fluffy Phones – Anything is appreciated.

In testing this cab, the only thing I noticed is that the thumbs up and thumbs down icons are missing from the bottom corners. How do I get these back ???

Perfect screen fix but sound still cuts out..Still need to use Avanced Config if you are NOT running Mighty’s custom rom…Evidently he must of changed the TCP size or it’s something in his ROM. More then likely TCP size like you mentioned it early thread…Since Advanced Config is not made for Touch Pro i am skeptical about changing TCP since down to the default…That’s a drastic number reduction, and has to decrease data throughput. So no this is not a fix unfortunately.

i tried this without might rom — still didnt work; song would still cut out
then i upgraded to might rom – worked perfectly and song didnt cut out.

conclusion is you MUST USE THIS WITH MIGHT ROM INSTALLED

is there any way to have it keep playing once I turn off the screen? i feel that battery is going to die fast if the screen has to stay on…

Installed .cab file on TP2 with Mighty Rom. Worked great for first day, then started timing out with error message “The file “Pandora” cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it’s components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring the file”. Then I reboot my phone and the Pandora icon is mysteriously gone from my list. I’ve done this about 3 times today and the error continues occuring after about 5 minutes of listening in Pandora. Any idea what the issue is?

Eric:
What I did was I texted the link(to this website) to myself and then I download the .cab file and installed it. Once it was downloaded and installed, Pandora showed up under the “programs” menu. I believe if you try to go to pandora.com it may still tell you about the restriction.

Why would you want pandora on your phone anyways , its horrible!!!!!!!!!! you should get coreplayer (they have a free one) and save .pls lists from wherever (i prefer http://classic.shoutcast.com) . Coreplayer can take the .pls files and play them outright…. so streaming mp3 music stations with 8 times the quality of pandora :)

just a thought.

MAN! IT BWORKS PERFECTLY. i have the T-mobile Touch Pro 2 and i clicked on the file to download and it appeard in programs or file explorer and i do have windows 6.5 just got that yesterday so everything is good just cant get on internet while listening. I never leave comments off downloads although I am always thankful..I had to leave something on this one cause it did exactly what it said it was going to do. It looks and feels and sounds exactly like it would on desktop. I tried the web site and got device not supported cause t-mobile i think..but now i have it and its done..Thanks for those responsible

thats because pandora isn’t a multitasking capable app , music cannot play “in the background” , however if you download TCPMP or Coreplayer and save .pls files or .m3u files you can stream mp3s with 8 times the quality of crappy pandora.

I have a Sprint TP2 running Mightyrom 0226 War. I first only installed Pandora cab and at first everything worked, then after restart songs would not play to the end. From the UPDATE (old work around) I found the following work around and now songs play to end everytime. I have not seen any issues with anything else at this time.

download Advanced Config Tool 3.3
While in the Advanced Config Tool, navigate to Network>TCP Window and change the value to 98304
Save your changes, and soft-reset.

It does play in the background and with the screen turned off.
